Champs Seniors & Juniors

The Indian Cricket seems to be on cloud 9, with a series of successes both for our junior and senior cricketers .

The Indian Colts lifted the U-19 World Cup in Australia,defeating the strong Australian team, by 6 wickets .
.
India won their third U19 World Cup title, as Unmukt Chand,
played a captains innings, and showed that he is a match winner, by scoring unbeaten 111 runs.

Australian made 225 for 8 wickets in 50 overs. The skipper Bosisto scored 87 not out, and posted a defendable score of 225 runs. The Indian batsman were expected to struggle against the quality pace attack of the opponents.

But Chand (111 not out ), Smit Patel ( 63 not out }and Baba Aparajith ( 33 }, calmly worked towards the target, in a very professional manner and the boys lifted the Cup .

Amitabh Bachchan Congratulated the Indian team and said" Unmukt Chand is the new face of Indian cricket."

Indian Team Captain Dhoni congratualated the Indian team for the fantastic win." Unmukt Chand really batted well."

The whole Indian Team at Hydrabad playing against New Zealand, were following the match in the dressing room .Virat Kohli who was the captain of the U-19 team which won the world Cup in 2008, now a dashing batsman in the Indian team said " Beating Australia in Australia in a final has never happened before, hence this is a great acheivement.

The former Pakistan captain and the master of seam bowling Wasim Akram said " Unmukt Chand is a whole package, he is excellent and ready to gain a Indian Cap soon.He said that myself and Ian Chappel has been saying that Chand is ready for India.  

It was definately a sunny day for Indain cricket since again on the same day, The Indian Cricket team led by Dhoni trounced the Kiwis in Hyderabad. They defeated the Kiwis by an innings and 115 runs. The tourist had no answers to the spinning bolts by Ashwin and Ojha, both the spinners cast a web around the batsman and shared 18 wickets between them in two innings . Ashwin had 12 wickets and Ojha had 6 wickets a great contribution both the spinners.
