Sachin in next World Cup ???

Sachin Tendulkar will be in action in the next World Cup, yes definitely the little master has said that he still wants to play international cricket for the next 5 or 6 years. When he was asked what were his plans after retirement from international cricket, he said that right now " I still intend to play for  5 to 6 years, hence I have not given a thought what to do next. "  

In the next World Cup Sachin will create records by being the oldest player to participate in the tournament and also a record of maximum number of World Cup appearance by any cricketer. Yes Sachin we need you to again win the World Cup and create history with you.

BIG B WITH OLYMPIC FLAME

The superstar actor Amitabh Bachchan will run in London Olympics with Olympic Torch. He tweeted that he has been invited by London Olympic Organising Committee to carry the torch with the Indian relay team.

He tweeted " Honoured to be asked to carry the Olympic torch in London at Southwalk around 10.30 A.M., its a proud moment for me and the country"..



Apart from Amitabh other Indian music maestro Oscar Award Winner A R Rahman is composing the music for the inagrual event with Slumdog Millioniare director Danny Boyle.

KNOW GIRISH PATEL...

A Gujarati vegetarian athlete Girish Patel  represented  Britain, in a highly energetic game pole vault.in 1976 Commonwealth Games  Can you imagine , a Gujarati , taking part at the highest level......

Generally Gujaratis are not supposed to be strong built and take part in these kind of highly energetic game.

 

Girish Patel says that since childhood I was interested in sports, I was interested in pole vault , since its a combination of running and gymnastics.I found this challenge thrilling,I was selected in the pole vault squad for 1976 Commonwealth Games by Coach Tom Macanabe. But I did not had the mental toughness and energy to go through the demanding training to get set for the event.

I came in contact with Swaminarayan Guru Pramukh Swami, who inspired me and guided me and made me mentally strong through spiritual techniques, and I was able to compete in Commonwealth Games.

Why Gujaratis do not go for such sports which requires lots of strentgh and energy, which they cannot get since they are vegetarians ? Girish says " It absolutely wrong , you will be surprised to know that Carl Lewis, who has won 9 Gold Medals in Olympics and 10 World Championship medals is a vegetarian.

Spain is top ranked nation in football in the entire world.They are European and World Champions.They also have the world's best football club teams Real Madrid and Barcelona .




Becelona"s youth development programme, La Masia is rated best in the whole world . It has produced one the  best player Lionel Messi, Barcelona's Argentinian star   and many more great players like Xavi Hernandaz and Andreas Iniesta.   .  

Now the great news is that the world champions are set to come to India to open football schools in India..
Real Madrid and Barclona, would open football schools and produce great footballers to compete internationally,and play matches for the Indian audience all over India .

Now the football crazy Indians rejoice, since the schools will teach the strategies of short passes game techniques, which is a pleasure to watch and learn the successful formula , that has made greats like Lionel Messi.  .   

Tendulkar never fails.....

Two decades ago a seer saw a diamond "Sachin", this was before he was handed the Indian cap,when he was just 16 years. This seer was Naren Tamhane wicketkeeper batsman of Indian cricket team in 1960.

It was the selection for the Pakistan tour of 1989, and the five wise intelligent selectors Naren Tamhane, Gudappa Vishwanath , Akash Lal, and Ramesh Saxena along with the chairman of the selection committee Raj Singh Dungarpur were completely lost in a thought and were confused over a 16 year old innocent fragile looking Sachin . Their worry was that when biggies, bow down to the fearsome Pakistan bowling attack what this kid can do. Can he face the thunderbolts from Imran Khan,Waqar Younis,Wasim Akram and  the flights of Abdul Qadir. And if the kids self  confidence gets busted his career will be as good as over.

They were discussing Sachin for one hour,and one of the selectors said no doubt he is talented but can he face the fearsome attack of Pakistan and if he fails than........ his sentence was cut short by a thundarbolt by Tamhane and he shouted '' Tendulkar never fails " 

Raj Singh once said " Naren was disgusted because we were not taking Sachin seriously, even I was not convinced with Naren . But at the end of the series we all praised his judgement. 

OLYMPIC DIET

Can you guess what horse meat has connection with Olympic medals. You can find out from the Olympic officials of Kazakhstan.

In Kazakhstan , horse meat is one of their favourite food. The Kazakhstan Olympic team  for London Olympics comprises mainly of boxers, wrestlers and weightlifters , all these games are such in which the participants require protein rich diet.They want to take kababs and sausages made from horse meat to Britain. The officials feel that this food would enhance their performance.

Still its not clear that the British officials will allow these horse meat food to Britain, since the rules to import any kind of meat products are very stringent. In Kazakhstan horse meat is an important and very much liked food. The sausages made from dry meat are called Kazee and are very  much liked and relished by them.
       

Why cricket with Pakistan....

BCCI has given an invitation to Pakistan to play 2 T20 and 3 One Days in India in December.But why India wants to play cricket with a nation which has backed terrorism against India.

Shiv Sena supremo Mr Balasaheb Thackeray is absolutely right in his comments that Pakistan should not be allowed and invited to play cricket with India. When a nation is working against our country under the shadow of terrorism is it justified, that BCCI invites Pakistan to play in India, only to earn money due to public interest throughout the nation.

Mr Thackeray has written in his newspaper Samana on basis of the information from another newspaper Telegraph . He says " The way Abu Jundal is treated in Delhi jail has to be taken into account, Jundal is not an ordinary criminal , but is a deadly terrorist, he is given all VIP facility like air conditioned cell,television, and is treated with best non vegetarian food like mutton biryani and other delicious food of his choice"  When poor people don't have food to eat,our government, succumbs to the demands of a terrorist.

We already have Kasab and Afzal Guru who have been given death sentence, staying very comfortably in our jails, and improving their health day after day.Till date Indian government has spent 50 crores on Kasab and 10 crores on Afzal Guru and also Abu Salem is enjoying the hospitality of Indian jails comfortably without worrying an treat on his life. Jundal has confessed that the control room which was made to track the  26/11 attack had a military official .

Pakistan cricket had sent a suggestion a week back to Indian board to start the matches , and BCCI without any hesitation and thought accepted the offer. This has reasons to ponder that no nation is ready to go to Pakistan and play matches. After the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore, when it toured Pakistan in 2009, no cricket playing country is ready to play in Pakistan.Hence the Pakistan Cricket Board is in financial trouble and needs cricket matches to get funds. The only bailout for Pakistan Board is matches between India & Pakistan, which will fill the coffers of both the countries.

Unless Pakistan stops the notorious activities of terrorism against India, its not in the interest of the nation to embarace Pakistani cricketers. Recall a statement made by Shahid Afridi after losing the World Cup encounter at Mohali he said at Lahore Airport " Indian people are not as loving as we are " whereas Indian Government had given the upmost facility and hospitality to them      

Ganguly.....

Saurav Ganguly the former successful captain of Indian cricket, has given a statement that he retired from international cricket three years back. He is now repenting his decision , and said that the decision was taken in haste, at that juncture he still had the talent to play international cricket at the highest level. He furthar said that he will continue playing the IPL since 39 years is too young to retire.  

Yuvraj Fights Back

Yuvraj Singh the dashing all rounder is practising hard to be back to the Indian cricket team.Yuvraj is a real fighter who suffered from a rare cell germ cancer, had gone through the cancer treatment in US and now is back with a  bounce defying the dreadful disease with shear positive attitude.

The cricket board selectors have informed they have already included Yuvraj for the 30 probable for the next T20 world cup. The selectors will watch Yuvi in the domestic matches before finalising the team for T20 world cup.

Its a brilliant effort and mental attitude by Yuvraj to come back to his cricketing days again .  Yes Indian cricket needs you back with a bang.   

Tear & Laughter .

On Sunday the 8th July 2012, in London in Wimbledon finals when Andy Murray the tennis player from Britain , lost to the Swiss Roger Federer , nearly 1.5 crores Britishers and Scottish tennis lovers had tears in their eyes. Andy Murray's mother , his girl friend Kim Sears. are woman, they have the right to cry, but when Andy loses the title so near to him , than mother Jade is entitled to cry, but the eyes of the British Prime  Minister David Cameron , Football player David Beckham and his wife Victoria had tears in their eyes.

Many a times the philosophical  poetry or quotes are good to here, but its very very difficult to digest the humilating loss for the  player, at the highest level of the game. A philosophical quote " If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same " It says win and loss are the two sides of a coin, which has to be treated and accepted in the same spirit.But this message to read seems very sweet , but can one stop the tears flowing when one loses ?

People were not only  sad in the stadium, but outside the stadium , Britishers staying in America were sad and broken down due to Murray's defeat. Nearly the match duration was 3 hours and 24 minutes , to watch the match many spectators had bought the tickets in black market for 5000 sterling pounds which is nearly Rs 3 lacs for a ticket. On Internet tickets were sold at 400 % premium, although Britain is in financial slowdown but to watch the finals people were dying to pay whatever premium to buy a ticket. The match was on the 8th Sunday,2012 but long queues were seen outside the stadium from Saturday midnight , people waiting in the queue to buy eight pound ticket in rains. brest  feeding mothers were also standing in the queue to buy the tickets.

Andy Murray is a Britisher, if he had won the Wimbledon title after 76 years , the Englishmen would have rejoiced and celebrated like Christmas. As per the famous sports writer Paul Newman who says " It was a death of a dream". It was not the dream of Andy Murray or his mother or his girl friend, but the dream of entire Britain has been shattered.

 On one  side one's dream was  broken, but on the other side Swiss winner Roger Federer's dreams had no boundaries . With this win Federer becomes the 5th highest paid sportsman after Tiger Woods .
He will get 4.5 crore US $ that is Rs 2250 crore contracts from Rolex, Wilson , Credit Swiss Bank. Nike shoes already have a contract with him which pays him yearly 56 crore.

Indian pubic has cricket madness, Let Dhoni and Sehwag have differences, but on the day when Dhoni beats Pakistan the whole of India will be on streets rejoicing . A London journalist says that sports and the sports heroes have such a magic that a single win raises the spirit of the entire nation.    

       

Ferderer fulfils a deadman's wish....

Nick Newlife a die hard tennis fan of Roger Federer predicted that Roger will win seven Wimbledon title almost a decade ago.Nick has helped a charity foundation Oxfam to win an a price money of pound 100k { Rs 87.50 lakhs }. Nick had placed a bet of pounds 1520 { Rs 1.30 lakhs } in 2003 on the Swiss tennis maestro to win Wimbledon by 2019, at odds 66-1.

Newlife who died in 2009 bequeathed his betting slip to the charity in his will, with the Oxfam bosses watching the exiting final on Sunday the 8th July 2012 had won them the astonishing sum .

Nick was a bachelor who passed away in 2009 at the age of 69, was staying alone in the countryside village  in a three bedroom house. Oxfam were closely following the matches of Wimbledon last year they narrowly missed out of the huge sum when Federer lost the final.Newlife died in 2009, with no family and friends left his worldly belongings to charity Oxfam.       

Sehwag vs Dhoni

Virendra Sehwag the flamboyant blaster of the ball says " India won the World Cup because India had a strong team" . This statement may create a rift and differences  between him and the Indian Captain Dhoni .

 He furthar elaborates that Dhoni had a good team, and when the team is strong where everyone performs than it becomes easy to win matches.

Australia won the the World Cup thrice, because they had a strong team, Sehwag said its not because of the captian the Australian team won the World Cup three times, but because of the team's allround performance.

He concludes that World Cup came back to India, due to the team performance and the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Yes he has created a spark under the ashes..... 

 

Guru Greg the controversial.

Greg Chappel seems to be behind Indian cricket. He never misses an opportunity, to make a controversial statement as and when he gets a chance to do so.

Now the wicked old man has written in the newly launched book 'Rahul Dravid Timeless Steel' that the team members were not happy with the sucess of Dravid as a captain, and were working against him.
He furthar states that if the team had given him support he would have become the most sucessful captain of Indian cricket.

Dravid had given many victories to Indian cricket...says Greg in the book, but its very sad that most of the players were not happy with the victories.

Chappel is a controvery creating factory, since after his stint with the Indian cricket, he was kicked out from the Australian Cricket Board also , since he sparked many fires over there.

Its a  simple logic why any sportsman would not be happy to win matches for their country. I am of the opinion that the old man is losing senses.
